A Ronin was a Samurai without a lord or master during the Feudal Era in Japan (1185-1868). To be without a master, the Ronin was left with only one choice, to become the master of himself. Following the spirit of this, the only true path to personal safety is to master it yourself, likewise mastery of the self is the only true path to health and vitality. At Ronin Dojo, we offer the teachings that will allow you to walk this path.
The Bujinkan (Japanese: 武神館) is an international martial arts organization based in Japan and headed by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi. The combat system taught by this organization comprises nine separate ryūha, or lineages, which are collectively referred to as Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu. The Bujinkan is most commonly associated with ninjutsu. However, Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi uses the term Budo (meaning martial way) as the ryūha are descended from historical Samurai schools that teach samurai martial tactics and Ninjutsu schools that teach Ninja tactics.
A dōjō (Japanese: 道場) is a place for immersive learning, experiential learning or meditation traditionally in the field of martial arts. The term literally means "Place of the Way" in Japanese.
Holistic Health Coaching aims to treat the whole individual through the mind, body, and spirit. Utilizing a blend of ancient wisdom, the most current scientific research, and years of experience, our Coaches can give you the tools, encourage you, and hold you accountable to achieve your highest potential.
Our specialties include: Military Veteran support, exercise instruction & programs, meal planning, weight loss, nutritional guidance, auto-immune strategies, lifestyle & environment optimization, meditation, breath-work, spiritual development, mental and emotional support and beyond.
The various services of martial arts training and Health Coaching are offered separately. However, they do act synergistically with each other; so naturally we encourage both.
